Pack a stick of soft butter in the smaller cup. In larger cup put one to two inches of cool water. Place butter filled cup upside-down into the water cup to form an air tight seal.  Leave your Butter Bell out on your table or counter. When serving your soft creamy butter that won't tear your bread just turn the small cup up on its top.
